Our Standard Guarnerius, but lighter.
We’ve stripped away all the ‘excess’ wood on our Standard Guarnerius, all for the sake of lightness. We’ve kept the playing surface identical, while carving out undercuts, rounding the shoulder, and slimming the chinrest down.
The completed ‘Superlight’ chinrest, with fittings, saves a full 10 grams compared to a standard Guarnerius, without it’s fittings.
This is a new option we’re offering for our chinrests, wherever possible. Not every model has so much excess wood, so we can’t do it for every shape, but feel free to get in touch here if you have a model in mind.
